I am Shilpi, a clinical psychologist and counsellor in Mumbai. I work with individuals and groups on preventive and promotive mental healthcare, helping people build resilience and find steadier ground.
I trained in clinical psychology and have spent my career working with people at different points in their lives. Much of my work sits in preventive and promotive healthcare, which means I focus on building awareness and resilience before problems take hold, not only after.
At Kripa Foundation in Mumbai, I ran individual and group counselling sessions. I learned that the most useful thing I can offer is not a set of techniques, but a space where someone feels genuinely heard. The rest follows from there.
I work in English and Hindi, and I bring the same care to every session, whether it is a first conversation or a longer therapeutic relationship.
Advanced study of clinical assessment, therapeutic techniques, and mental health intervention.
Foundational training in human behaviour, cognition, and psychological science.
Specialised training in preventive and promotive approaches to health and well-being.
Mumbai
At Kripa Foundation, I worked with clients in individual and group counselling, supporting their emotional, behavioural, and psychological well-being.
A large part of my role was preventive. I promoted mental health awareness and practices that help people stay well, rather than only responding when things become difficult.
I also worked closely with multidisciplinary teams, because holistic care rarely happens alone. Coordinating with other professionals meant each client got support that matched the full picture of their life.
